Anika Rose is an American singer and actress. She is best known for her character voiced by Tiana as Tiana in The Princess and the Frog as the first African American Disney princess. In 2011, she was recognized as one of the Disney Legend. Rose appeared as Lorrell Robertson on Dreamgirls, which won an Academy Award. Anika Rose was born on June 6 in 1971. She is an American actor and singer. She is best known for portraying Tiana Disney's first princess of African descent as she appeared in The Princess and the Frog (2009). Disney Legends featured her as one in 2011. She was also recognized for her performance as a character in Dreamgirls (2006) in which she was awarded an Academy Award for Best Picture. In the Starz show Power she was the character LaVerne Jukebox Ganner.
